In the Slipstream — A (220-Mile) GORE-TEX Product Focus
22.05.2023

In March 2023, the GORE-TEX Brand embarked on a thrilling 3-day bike ride from Seattle to Portland, joined by two local riders from Washington. This 220-mile stretch tested the capabilities of GORE-TEX products and their defining technologies in the diverse landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

Photographed by Adam Katz Sinding, the visuals of this expedition capture the region’s stunning scenery while highlighting the need for functional apparel in the face of the damp and unpredictable Pacific Northwest climate.

Throughout the bike ride, GORE-TEX products demonstrated their unwavering performance, providing reliable protection and comfort. The riders wore styles from both our mainline and Norse Projects ARKTISK range. Jeein wore the GORE‑TEX WINDSTOPPER® set consisting of the Nunk Jacket and Alvar pants, while Brandon wore the Norse Projects ARKTISK GORE-TEX 3L Stand Collar Jacket in Mid Khaki.

The Pacific Northwest’s ever-changing elements demand durable waterproofness, windproofness, and breathability from apparel. GORE-TEX continues to be the preferred choice for riders and explorers, offering advanced technologies that conquer heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and unpredictable conditions.
